What is Brain Mapping
Brain mapping (also called qEEG) is a non-invasive way to look at how your brain is functioning.
We use sensors placed on the scalp to measure brainwave activity and compare it to what’s typical for your age. This gives us a clearer picture of how different areas of your brain are communicating
What We Look At
We analyze patterns in your brainwaves, including speed, balance, and communication between regions. This helps identify:
Areas that may be working too hard or not enough
Imbalances related to focus, mood, sleep or stress
Patterns that may be contributing to what you are experiencing
It’s not about labeling, it’s about understanding how your brain is functioning.
What to Expect
The brain mapping process is simple and comfortable.
We place sensors on your scalp using a gentle water-based gel. There’s no stimulation being put into your brain. The sensors are only measuring activity.
You’ll sit quietly for 10 minutes with your eyes open and eyes closed while we record your brain activity. You will be guided through the entire process so you know exactly what to do.
The full appointment takes about 45-60 minutes, and afterward, we will schedule a map review where you will be walked through your brain map results.
Who It’s For
Brain mapping is helpful for people of all ages who want to better understand their brain and improve how they feel and function.
People often come in for things like:
Trouble focusing or staying on track
Feeling overwhelmed or on edge
Difficulty sleeping or feeling rested
Low motivation or mental fatigue
Brain fog or trouble thinking clearly
It’s also a great starting point if you’re not sure what’s going on, but know something doesn’t feel right.
